Alrighty then. As I've been dragged, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century by my very good friend, I might as well get on with it. ^^ (Don't worry, Christine. I don't hold it against you at all. I probably should've done this a while ago. I blame procrastination...)
It goes without saying that I worry that I'm clogging the blogosphere with one of those serials that people only read to be polite to their friend or family member. I guess I'll just have to trust that any gentle readers I end up with will know enough to change the "channel" if I get too boring. Political pontificating aside, I don't really know what to write about. I'm sure I'll think of stuff, but suggestions and comments are cheerfully accepted.
I guess what's running through my mind right now is employment. To be more specific: my employment. Everyone with half a brain is wondering about the economy, and anyone employed in a service industry is totally dependent on the public at large for their livelihood. I've asked myself, "Where would I really like to work?" many times over the past decade, and I've never gotten a satisfactory answer. I keep asking though. Maybe now that I'm in my thirties *shudder* I should concentrate harder on this.

Next time we do coffee we oughta crack open the Parachute book... You're too good for the likes of Borders, ya know :)
ReplyDeleteAs an employee of CA, I'm in the same boat... The state budget has everyone in a hover formation here. We're just waiting for budget announcements to come down and hoping no jobs are cut.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the career musing/decision-making. It's a good thing to do before kids come into the picture!
